As I was listening to random youtube talks by Mooji on different subjects lately, I stumbled upon this short, video, where Mooji is giving an answer to the question of “What is and where is the origin of Consciousness?”. This seemingly “one of many”, and roughly 5 minute long video carries with itself surprisingly huge potential to unlock Higher Perspective, Higher Consciousness, Higher Understanding of “how things are” and “who you are”, Higher Understanding of Manifestations and good old Laws of Attractions, that we kept hearing about more and more after big success of the book “The secret”. Yet, I must admit, that I have never heard words on the subject selected so well and matching all the synesthetic vibrations and colours of the Truth. The Truth that seems true to the core for me and me only. I don’t make claims my truth is your truth as well. You will need to check it for yourself 😉 I loved this speech so much that I just needed to write it all down. To feel the vibration of the words while writing them, be closer, to taste them in their complexed simplicity.
Who is the Seer? Where is origin of Consciousness? What is beyond Consciousness?
” Where is the origin of Consciousness? It cannot be pointed out spaciously. You are the origin of Consciousness. Thus you are the one in whom the Consciousness is being perceived. And the function of Consciousness is being perceived. And Consciousness in its manifestation as I am and I – me is also perceived. So therefore You being witness of that, you must be this, out of which the Consciousness is manifesting. But not you personally. Because you personally – is only a thought. So you impersonally must be Consciousness.
But is that it? Is there something more than Consciousness? Is there something beyond? (…) Whatever you can see is on the desktop of the Consciousness because you can perceive that. But if the Seer of all this items is included in the item packaging? Or is he distinctly outside the box, the desktop? It’s a really subtle thing. Coz in order for the things at the desktop to be seen with interest …that interest must be also in the Seer of them. And if that interest is in the Seer of them, that Seer of them is not yet purely spatial. The Seer of them must also have some quality in it. And that quality in it is being reflected on the screen.
The Seer is never totally apart from what is seen. The atomised objects of that perception can only come into view with the belief in them that happens in the Seer of them.”
[The more into the conversation, Mooji had just realised how important are the words coming out of his mouth and how important is his – what it seems to be – a stream of improvised Higher Consciousness’ painted words.]
“What You are seeing and believing…the belief in them [seen objects] happens in you, and the belief in them that happens in you give them their apparent reality and existence. So what is left? What is left is pure perception. In the meaning that when the senses perceive or when the mind perceives through the senses without desire, without judgement, without projection, without interpretation, then it perceives clearly that, which is as IT IS. Because it does not do it for the motive, it does not want to take something out of it, it’s not personal; So that Seeing is clean. It does not leave any registration outside the consciousness. Pure perception. As soon as there is interest and attraction for any particular item, our relationship is being created. And as there is relationship being created here is potency in the object and the perceiver of the object. So if perceiver is interested in the object that perceiver is also quality. And a quality s not self perceiving.
So, both the perceiver of quality and the quality that is being perceived are two aspects of one thing. They are both manifestation in Consciousness. And the Consciousness that perceives them both, meaning that it perceives the object of perception and the apparent subject of the perception, which then turns out to be itself an object, assuming subjective position, are both objects in Consciousness [ha! just loving this complexed beautifully put sentence!].
And the Consciousness, which sees it, is completely immaterial.
When one understands and perceives that the world does not stick to you…everything becomes available and nothing is burdening you down anymore.”
The talk can be listened to here:
So, True and Pure Consciousness includes the Seer and the object that is being seen altogether. There is no separation. The Seer and the Seen have the same origin. We all have the same root as well in correlation to the observed reality that is also originated from us and is within us as well as we are all deep submersed into it.
Could you imagine if more and more people kept realising that we create our reality and therefore we, and only we, are responsible for what is manifesting in our life? If more people would actually make a better effort to perceive beauty, peace and love instead of foggy, hatred based days in their lives – we, as Collective Humanity, would be one leg in the heaven on Earth 😉
Hope that makes sense for you 🙂
Happy manifestations and Seeings 😉

Thank you Q.A. for this transcription and for displaying the video. It will sound a touch silly, but the first time I experienced pure perception it was nothing more than a three dimensional orange-coloured form rotating slowly in space and seemingly travelling towards me. Stepping outside of pure perception, I can say that this was a section of carrot about to be consumed – yet that is all the conceptual overlay of course, the narrative that gets placed in memory as the apparent past. You may have heard of Ted Honderich’s Radical Externalism which posits a similar take as to Mooji – or if you like, Nondualism – wherein subject and object are mind constructs of a unified, or non-dual, awareness.
With respect and gratitude.
